4th YEAR running this clinic. Only defencemen on the ice. 2 day clinic- 1.25 hrs per day.
Defencemen will be taught various skills that will aid them in their defensive game. Offensive tactics will also be addressed throughout the week from a D man perspective. Some of the skills addressed will be transition skating, pivoting, backwards stride, quick feet, making the first pass, being defensively aware (head on a swivel), net play, proper positional play, retrieving pucks, avoiding pressure, stick on puck, hips on hands, dragging pucks to middle of the ice and jumping up in the play.
