Congrats to Denton Mateychuk (11th overall – round 1) from Dominion City, Spencer Penner (29th overall – round 2) from Blumenort, Bryce Warkentine (132nd overall – round 6) from Landmark & Owen Pickering (177th overall – 9th round) from St. Adolphe on their selections in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft on May 2nd. We’ve had the pleasure of working with every player above in some skills coaching capacity over the last few years through the Rising Stars, Director’s Cup programs or privately in our various camps and sessions.
We look forward to their continued development and encourage all players, drafted or not, to continue to work hard throughout the summer and set goals that are both realistic and achievable. The draft is only a moment in time. Players develop at their own pace, so drafted or not, use the moment to motivate you as a player to work to excel at your chosen sport.
